To promote economic modeling in China and lower the barrier to learning CGE models, from 28 April 2019 the quantitative economics platform (www.econmod.cn) opens online training videos on the global CGE model to all free registered members.

Episodes: GTAPISM framework and database; product flows and balance; optimisation by agents; global bank, regional investment and closure; quantity and price linkages; using AnalyseGE.
(2) Further free courses: Quantitative platform > Resource centre > Public resources. Taught by Dr Xiao Jingliang (CoPS). Nine episodes covering CGE applications, MINIMAL, equations and linearisation, TABLO and production structure, trade and factor markets, household and market clearing, closure, BOTE macro interpretation, and comparison with ORANI and MONASH.
