Biography
Aaron Shew is an interdisciplinary agricultural economist focused on solving agribusiness, international development, and sustainability problems with quantitative techniques and cutting-edge geospatial technologies. He completed master's degrees in both geography and agricultural economics and a doctorate in environmental dynamics at the University of Arkansas. Shew has over 10 years of international development experience throughout Africa and Asia and has worked alongside several start-up ventures as an adviser and mentor. Shew's substantive work and research interests are in the efficiency of crop production systems, risk management across agricultural supply chains, agricultural sustainability, and meeting global food security needs.
